                 This style of cricket came into the world about 16 years ago. It was started in 2007. This was the 7th Twenty20 World Cup. The 20-20 overs cricket tournament will feature 20 overs for both teams, with both teams having 4 batting power play overs. Each bowler will have a maximum of 4 overs tournament is organized and hosted by ICC.


                  The first match of the tournament, which started in 2007, was played in South Africa, where India defeated Pakistan in the final to win the trophy. It was then held in England. Last year's runners-up Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka to win the title at Lord's.3rd tournament was hosted by West Indies. England won their first international title, defeating Australia.

              In 2012, Sri Lanka hosted an Asian country for the first time, defeating Sri Lanka in the final, which was won by the West Indies. The biennial tournament was held in 2014 in Bangladesh. The tournament was one that Sri Lankans will never forget.😍 Sri Lanka won the first Twenty20 tournament by defeating a strong Indian team❤😘. The West Indies team emerged champions in the 2016 tournament in India. There they defeated England and qualified for the championship. Since then the ICC has not been able to hold these tournaments every 2 years due to various reasons. The match was then hosted by Oman and Dubai. Australia are the current T20 world cup holders having beaten New Zealand in the final at Dubai

The next tournament is scheduled to be held in 2022. Everything is ready to be hosted in Australia. I will end this article with the hope that our country will win another World Cup in 2022.
