My travel destinations 3

  Idalgashinna

Idalgashinna is a small village in the Badulla District of the Uva Province of Sri Lanka. It is located at an elevation of 1,615 m (5,299 ft) above sea level in the Haputale - Namunukula Range. This area is home to the Idalgashinna Estate and the nearest major city is Haputale, about 9 km south of the railway line.

The 5 ft 6 inch (1,676 mm) wide boundary line between Haputale and Idalgashinna is considered a spectacular view due to the sharp drop on either side of the main railway line. The view from the north side of the railway station extends beyond Boralanda and Welimada to Udupussellawa and Hakgala and the view from the south to v is clearly visible. This station is located between Ohio Railway Station and Haputale Railway Station. A station with a rapidly changing dual climate is perfect. This means that at one time it is bright and at another moment the whole area is covered with fog. Idalgashinna, which is often covered with fog and cold, is very cool.
